CROSS COUNTRY MEET

                                                MS Girls                     Distance – 2500 Meters (Must be in MS)

                                                MS Boys                     Distance – 2500 Meters (Must be in MS)

ROLLING SCHEDULE

SCHOOLS:    Aberdeen Central, Brookings, Huron, Mitchell, SF Washington, Pierre, Sturgis, Watertown,   RC Central, Spearfish, SF Roosevelt, RC Stevens, Harrisburg, Brandon Valley, Douglas, Custer, James Valley, Wessington Springs, Hitchcock-Tulare, Lennox, Aberdeen Roncalli

COURSE:      Broadland Creek Golf Course (Enter on Highway 37 – Same entrance as Huron Country Club)

SCORING:     First 5 runners count for team points in all races (2 pushers) (no team scoring in middle school races)

AWARDS:      A team plaque will be awarded to the winning varsity teams.  A traveling trophy will be awarded to the overall boys/girls winning team.  Medals will go to the top 20 in varsity, top 15 in JV and top 20 in each MS division.  MS division is for grades 6-7-8 only and will NOT be divided out by grade. 

ATTENTION:  We would request that last year’s winner in the varsity division please bring the traveling trophy to this year’s  meet.  RC STEVENS is defending champion in the girls and boys division.

All varsity awards will be presented outside the clubhouse immediately following the last race.  JV and MS medals will be handed out at the finish line.

ENTRY FEE:            $40.00/School (Exchange)

DRESSING FACILITIES:   None are available!  15 porta-potties will be available outside the clubhouse.

COACHES:   Please pick up team packets in the clubhouse as soon as you arrive!

·         Make sure rosters are updated on the SDHSAA website by Tuesday – 8:00 am.   Please email Darla Darla.Halbkat@k12.sd.us the names of your MS runners by Tuesday – 8:00 am.    Darla will assign each runner from each school a number.  Darla will email you team numbers by Thursday – 3:00 pm.  Have each runner put that number on the back of one of their hands so it is visible to the recorder when they walk out of the chute. Runners will need to show the race recorder at the end of the chute their assigned number.
