The First Team (1959)
New to BHS athletics, the Cross Country team proved as much of an invigorating sport as track. Races of varied distances were run usually between halves of football games.  These nine boys were the start of Cross Country.  Minor letters were given to the boys that participated in the meets.  FRONT ROW: Denny Milfs, Kent Younger, Jim Phillips, Kenny Kirschenmann.  BACK ROW: Jim Hansen, Dick Flittie, Bruce Stone, Don Larson, Dick Blomberg.
